Hera positioned herself at the heights of the island where she enjoys marvelous sea views from her stone terraces surrounded by the shades of the magical color spectrum and fragrances that exist only in heaven and on Hvar. Everyone is in love with Hera, but beautiful Hera is in love with Zaraće.

Villa Features

We are in the middle of a pastoral scene. Zaraće is one of the few preserved indigenous villages located on the Adriatic islands. While staying in the village of Zaraće, you may at times feel as if you were in a time machine; and at times you will be...

In the midst of such historical scenery, the irresistible villa Hera found its place.

An indigenous Dalmatian stone house renovated with a lot of love and attention to every single detail in the traditional Mediterranean country style, Hera is a small corner of paradise on Earth and one of our favorite villas on the island of Hvar.

It is an enchanting place where time has stood still; a place of infinite pleasure and eternal hedonism.

The location of the villa is just fantastic – even though you are not isolated from civilization, you are at a unique and quiet site. On the other hand, you are only ten minutes’ drive away from the island’s charming and peaceful oldest town called Stari Grad, or from the town of Hvar, perky and extremely popular among the tourists.

Villa Hera is surrounded by exquisite natural beauty and is characterized by unspoiled traditional architecture. Hera is a small complex of traditional stone houses - the sensitive owners spent seven years renovating it with a lot of care and dedication. They used natural materials such as stone and wood, constantly seeking to achieve harmony with nature.

The result is exquisite. Hera is truly not just a house for rent. It is a place that has its own amazing personality and offers you a warm welcome; a place whose purpose is to surprise you, move you and regenerate you.

The complex consists of a luxurious and comfortable main stone house and two smaller charming houses (cottages) where you can find additional bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.

Hera in numbers: garden covers the area of 1300m2, the main stone house is the size of 90m2 or 30m2 on each floor; first small blue house is the size of 15m2 and the second small green house is the size of 15m2 as well, garden shed is 12m2 and the garage is 24m2 large.

The top floor consists of a loft-style open plan bedroom with a double bed (160 cm) and a large wardrobe. The bedroom is air-conditioned. An open plan en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, bathtub and a shower booth is also located on the top floor.

When it comes to cottages, each cottage has its private entrance and is comprised of one large bedroom, with two separate single beds (2x80 cm) in the first cottage and a double bed (160 cm) in the second cottage. Both cottages are air-conditioned. Furthermore, they both have a separate bathroom with a sink, toilet and an open plan shower area, along with a private front terrace which offers a spectacular sea view.

Stone walls enclose a large garden with stone paths that lead to a terrace where an open-air summer kitchen with two ancient bread ovens and different open-air seating areas are located. The property also has a small illuminated pool (5x3 m), a fountain and an outdoor shower.

There is also a separate garden shed with outdoor furniture and a room with pool equipment.

The kitchen is fully equipped – it has a fridge, freezer, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fruit press, espresso machine, toaster and a lot of stylish cutlery, glassware and kitchenware.
